Ok, so last night, we got in touch with our friends (finally. Since our babysitter / gaming buddy moved away, we haven't had someone to 'hang out' with), and we went to the bowling alley in Artesia. It has a pizza buffet, and you can bowl. For four of us (Me, R, and the two kidlets), we paid about $40 for all the pizza, salad, and spaghetti (also dessert pizza) you can eat, and an hour of bowling. The other family did about the same, and we spent about an hour or more eating our pizza, and then another two hours bowling. They had these frame things which you could set up on the lane for kids, so we grabbed one of those for use with Will, and he bowled a higher scoring game than I did granny bowling. R was the big winner, and R's best buddy was second. I think I beat his wife in pins, too. I dunno, though. But the point of it all is that it was a lot of fun, and I got to play and laugh and do something fun that I haven't done for a very long time. So, I was glad.
We are still praying about that missions opportunity, and the pastor is also lobbying for us, so we're excited. We'd both be working, but R'd be technically the one employed, making it easier to take care of the records.
My friend Morrow and some of our other good buddies from Tyler have made a fun podcast. It's here, at http://geekdimension.tv If you like geeky things like superheroes, WoW or time travel, you might like the podcast. So far, there's only four real podcasts, a joke and two blooper reels up. Pretty good for a month's work, huh? I liked it, and that's why I'm plugging it to you.
Ok, so grinding my teeth at night is not a good thing. Because I don't have any teeth left in the lower right back portion of my mouth, and only one on the top of the same, the place where my tooth got extracted is still tender. I might have to go back to the dentist tomorrow and get some medicine jabbed down in there if it's open. If anybody has any ideas for protecting a mouth that isn't full of teeth (tried
dfesther 's idea, and because so many teeth are gone, it's not feasible), let me know. I'm tired of waking up in the middle of the night to grab ibuprofen and try to get back to sleep. Grumpiness ensues.
Going to install the new AVG 8, so I've gotta finish this post. Maybe more later, but I wanted to say that I did have a great time last night, and give you guys a real update instead of just twitter fluff. Heh.
